Vintage – AntiquePENNSquidder140You are bidding on a Antique PENN Squidder 140 Fishing Reel. Good shape overall but it has a nick to the top tail plate and one to the top head plate as seen in the last photo. In overall, good cosmetic shape other wise good spool but some lite scratches, lite brassing to the rings, posts and seat, good crank and star. A solid, and still good looking despite wear from use as seen in the super sized photos. *One other item is the pin which holds the plate for spool removal comes completely out but still present and fully operational. It cranks well with a solid anti-reverse, a good drag, nice loud line out alarm, great clutch and a good working free spool and good bearings. The bearing cap goes on and off very tight but that’s how I like mine because I don’t want it to move after I set it just right. It also works nicely in all modes including forward with anti-reverse and forward-reverse modes and the switch works great.*These reels are quite versatile either for long casting on the surf (I have 2 of them I use for such, I cant seem to get away from them even though I have many other higher end debatable better reels to choose from) or bottom fishing on high rolling seas because of its forward reverse mechanism allowing your bait to remain on the bottom when cresting a roller. Overall still a good working reel with some millage but certainly ready for more!*International bidders are welcome and First Class
shipping is an option, however positive feedback must be received prior
to shipment, otherwise we offer International Priority which comes with
Insurance to cover both parties for any damages and loss during shipment. International
bidders interested in First Class shipping please contact me for
details for shipping prior to bidding.*Shipping in the USA is Free and Priority.
If you have any questions before placing your winning bid please drop
me a line and I will get back to you as soon as I can. Thanks for
taking the time to view my auction.

Hi and welcome to my auction for an antique fishing rod set.

It comprises

1-rod,in four section’s which makes up either a 5′ 6″ two piece rod or a three piece 8′ lighter rod.The line eye’s are what look like plated steel bound onto the (what i think is fibreglass although i can’t be sure.It seem’s opaque when held up to the light with fibres running the length of it),with red binding then varnished or coated. The rod bear’s the mark T.K.T. in like a shield in red and gold with a gold crown above. The butt of the rod is cork with steel at the very base where you fit the reel by the means of two clasps, one retained by a knurled nut and below that is a rubber bung closing of the butt of the rod which is hollow where i can only presume you would store the part’s of the rod you are not using at the time.

2-Simple and light aluminium centre pin reel with line.

3-Five various floats.

4-Pressed tin containing various lead shot.

5-Clear plastic what i think is a sinker.

6-Various hooks to line.

7-Light weight wooden,hinged carry case.

My son was given it by a family member as he is now getting in to fishing but it soon became apparent that this set was far to light and delicate for a 7 year old novice so the relative said make sure it goes to a good home and whatever you get for it put that toward’s some more relevant tackle he will use so here it is.

Thats about all i can tell you but if you need any further information then mail me on here and if i can help i will.

I prefer cash on collection (it’s in norwich)but can also do the paypal thing.

Should you need it posting i can wrap it in bubble wrap etc and post strictly at your cost.

Thank’s for looking, good luck and happy bidding.
